Abstract

Research is about analyzing the pedagogic competence of mathematics teachers in online
learning and to find out how the pedagogic competence of mathematics teachers in online
learning. Research applies sequential mixed research techniques. Population’s research
were 15 mathematics teachers. Information retrieval used questionnaires and interviews
using instruments on the teacher's pedagogic competence. The results of this research
obtained an average of 78% and was classified as High. However, there are 2 indicators
that are still in the moderate classification. The indicators in question; 1) Understanding
of students in online learning at an average of 60% in the medium classification and 2)
Evaluation of online learning which is at an average of 73% in the medium classification.
The things that cause the two indicators are still in the medium category are: 1) educators
cannot directly meet students so it is difficult to know how students are capable, and 2)
educators have difficulty in assessing students because students lack knowledge of their
abilities towards students. The implications that can be done are: educators must also
further improve their abilities in understanding competence of students in online learning
and increasing competence in evaluating online learning assessments.
