Abstract

Limitations of learning resources, direct interactions, meeting times, and learning experiences during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, caused learning loss, including in physics subjects. This is indicated by a decrease in learning outcomes and competency levels. The project-based learning model accommodates active students in learning. The research aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning model on learning loss in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. The research was conducted with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research instruments were written tests, attitude questionnaires, and performance observation sheets on the dynamics of rigid body rotation. The population was students of class XI MIPA at SMA N 26. The sample was randomly selected, XI MIPA 2 as the control class and XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class. The t test shows that the project-based learning model has an effect on learning loss. The gain test shows an increase in learning outcomes in the control class, namely cognitive (moderate), affective (moderate) and psychomotor (high). The PjBL model is influential and can be used to overcome learning loss.
